Coach Krom recently said, "Mike Mahone brings a strong knowledge of the game of golf. He has strong golfing skills and has had a strong start to the season. Mike will continue to represent EWG Golf in a positive way." Mike Mahone is a tremendous athlete and has amazing sportsmanship in any sport he plays. I have been watching him play both golf and basketball for many years now, and he is so talented. I sometimes forget how young Mike really is; due to the fact that he maintains such poise and confidence on and off the playing field. He fits right in with the upperclassman in Varsity sports and I have never heard anyone have nothing but praise for his ability and attitude. Usually skilled but humble athletes are developed… and I know a large part of that is because of his Dad’s coaching and his parents’ support. I have never seen Mike play a game without his Dad, Mom and usually his grandparents cheering him on. It is truly a “family affair” for game days, which is just awesome to observe.
